Hope for Paws received a text about a dog hiding under a propane cabinet at a gas station. Of all the places to hide, right? The picture that was sent to the rescuers helped them identify exactly where the dog was. Thankfully, Hope for Paws was able to rescue the tiny yorkie. This is one epic rescue that’s definitely worth watching!
Tiny Yorkie almost get crushed by propane tanks!
Immediately, Hope for Paws secured the area with a fence before approaching the dog. This would ensure the dog wouldn’t run away when she was set free. The tiny yorkie had wedged herself in so tightly that the rescue team struggled to get her out. So, in an effort to make things a little easier, the team used a metal pole to prop up the propane cabinet so she could get out. Thing is, it was hard for the team to determine how much to lift the propane cabinet. It took a lot of strength to do it with the pipe, and at one point, it didn’t look like it would be enough. The dog was in danger of being crushed if they pulled her out! Thankfully, they were able to lift the tanks just enough to safely pull her out. Phew!
Once the poor thing was out from under the tanks, you could tell she was in disbelief. She was even shaking a little bit! She immediately started to calm down after they put the lucky leash on her. The rescuers were there to help her, not hurt her. Thankfully, she seemed to realize that pretty quickly.
Once they got her out, they picked her up and took her with them into their car. Then, they drove to the hospital. Unfortunately, it seemed she was another fireworks runaway. After all, dogs are incredibly scared of fireworks due to their incredible hearing. They decided to name her Sephora, due to her incredibly long eyelashes (how cute!).
Sephora was reunited with her family
Once at the hospital, they scanned her for a microchip but she didn’t have one. Then, she got a much needed bath! The cutest part of this story was that one of the rescuers decided to foster Sephora for a whole week while searching for her owners. On the seventh day, the rescuer found Sephora’s family! She was so happy to see her family after the very scary experience she had. Sephora’s family was so lucky to reunite with their lost dog. This is why wearing a collar with a nametag and a registered microchip are vitally important and life saving.
