Either you’d have to be on some sort of hallucinogen. Or maybe you’re a pathological liar. Or you were born yesterday….
But we simply can’t understand why anyone would be dumb enough to pour soda pop into an ATM machine. Two machines, at that! Something ain’t stirrin’ the Kool-Aid (or soda pop, as it were).
The story goes that this 33-year-old Asian woman received a call on her phone saying that she was short on her bank account. She was then told to transfer money over to another account just to make up the negative balance. Hmm…. Now if you were smart, you’d start questioning this right away. But, noooooo, the lady did it anyway.
Props to her for calling back, though, skeptical as to why her bank would be personally contacting her about transferring money over to a completely different account. She then called the guy back, demanding her money be returned, which the fraudster (we suspect) instructed the lady to pour…. Pepsi? Into the bank’s ATM?
What. The. F*ck?
She, of course, didn’t get her money back as the carbonation wasn’t enough to choke the ATM into spitting out the dollars. It was a good try, though.
Currently the lady faces vandalism fines after causing $9,000 worth of damage to two bank ATMs. All because she poured some pop into them.
Maybe we should just stop drinking pop altogether if this is what happens to ATMs when you pour your drinks into them. See? You learn something new every day.
